Communications and Network Security (CNS-201)

Description
This three-day instructor led training course in communications and network security domain covers the fundamentals of security concerns in the security of local network channels and traffic both within an organization or external connections with third party and cloud services providers.

Secure communications and network security can be approached via two underlying mechanisms in computer communications: Secure communication protocols and authentication protocols. This course will provide fundamental understanding of how to achieve cybersecurity objectives to prevent hacking, data breach, exfiltration (stealing sensitive data), and corrupting data within an organization’s network. Topics that will be covered during this course include:

• Network connected devices and Internet of Things (IoT) security
• Secure boot and authentication to trusted networks
• Network scanning for unencrypted traffic
• Digital certificates and encryption
• Hashing and data integrity checking
• Off-premise data security
• Lab and Practical Exercises
• Use Cases

By the end of this course, you will be able to understand the processes and procedures to secure remote and local transmission of data and information during input, processing, transmission, storage, and output.
